Moonwalking in Edinburgh
After a successfull moonwalk in 2008, Sarah and Susan have decided to put themselves through the pain of another 26.2 mile walk in June again this year.
For those who are not familiar with the Moonwalk, it is a charity walk raising money for breast cancer causes. It starts at midnight on Saturday 20 June 2009 in Edinburgh and will be a night to remember when 12,000 women and men pound the streets of Edinburgh in their decorated bras!
Training started in January and the going is getting tough now as the distances that we need to cover each week increase. We've got our new training shoes and are in the process of breaking them in - 9 miles this Saturday.
Between 6 of us, we raised well over £1000. There are only 4 in our team this year but we'd like to aim for a similar amount, so we'll be posting a just giving site soon for friends and colleagues who'd like to donate a couple of pounds to this great cause.
